Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TrendMeld LLC ("TrendMeld," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the TrendMeld mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a TrendMeld account, we collect your email address and authentication information. TrendMeld stores a cryptographic password hash rather than your plaintext password. We also store account preferences such as your selected creator niche and onboarding status.

TrendMeld usage and saved content

We may store information needed to operate the Service, including the source items you open or select, your chosen niche, Remix Packs generated for your account, saved Remix Packs, pack usage counts, plan status, and timestamps associated with those actions.

YouTube API Data

TrendMeld uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API, to obtain source information that may include video and channel identifiers, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, publication dates, channel information, public statistics, and YouTube URLs.

TrendMeld currently uses public YouTube source data and does not ask for or store your YouTube password or YouTube login credentials. TrendMeld does not currently connect to a user's private YouTube account. If that changes, this Privacy Policy and the in-app consent flow will be updated before the new access is used.

Subscription and purchase information

If you subscribe to TrendMeld Pro, purchases are handled by the applicable app marketplace (such as Apple's App Store or Google Play) and subscription infrastructure provided by RevenueCat. TrendMeld may receive and store information such as an app user identifier, product identifier, store, subscription status, renewal status, expiration date, and purchase or receipt-related status. TrendMeld does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

AI processing information

To generate a Remix Pack, TrendMeld may send the selected source metadata, your chosen niche, generation instructions, and related creator-planning context to OpenAI through its API. TrendMeld does not intentionally include your account password or full payment information in AI prompts. We also do not intentionally send your email address to OpenAI as part of Remix Pack generation.

Technical information

Our servers and service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as IP address, request timestamps, device or operating-system information, app version, network errors, and similar diagnostic information.

2. How We Use Information

• create and authenticate your account;
• provide Discover, Remix Pack generation, My Packs, and account features;
• track free and paid Remix Pack allowances;
• verify and manage subscription status;
• process AI generation requests;
• maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service;
• respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Service Providers and Third Parties

We use third parties only where needed to operate the Service. Depending on your use of TrendMeld, information may be processed by:

We require service providers to handle information consistently with their contractual obligations and applicable privacy and security requirements. If our data-sharing practices materially change, we will update this Policy and obtain any consent required by law or platform policy.

4. YouTube-Specific Privacy Information

TrendMeld's use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's privacy practices. TrendMeld is designed to refresh, replace, or remove stored YouTube API Data as required by applicable YouTube API Services policies. A generated TrendMeld Remix Pack may remain saved even when related YouTube source metadata is refreshed, removed, or no longer displayed.

TrendMeld does not use YouTube API Services to collect YouTube login credentials, private messages, or private account content.

5. Data Retention

• Account information: retained while your TrendMeld account is active, unless a longer period is required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
• Generated Remix Packs: retained for your account until you delete them or delete your TrendMeld account, subject to technical backup retention.
• YouTube API Data: refreshed, replaced, or removed in accordance with applicable YouTube API Services requirements. TrendMeld may expire source metadata while preserving TrendMeld-generated content.
• Subscription records: retained as reasonably necessary to verify entitlements, resolve billing issues, and meet accounting or legal obligations.
• Logs and backups: may remain for a limited period for security, reliability, backup, or legal reasons before deletion or overwrite.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can initiate deletion of your TrendMeld account from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This removes the active TrendMeld account and associated user-owned Remix Packs from the primary TrendMeld database. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained where required by law, fraud prevention, security, billing disputes, or enforcement of our agreements.

Deleting your TrendMeld account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through the applicable store's subscription-management controls.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or other control over personal information. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising

TrendMeld does not sell personal information for money and does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. TrendMeld does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or controls required by law and platform rules.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access controls, hashed passwords, and secure service-to-service credentials. However, no system, network, or method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

TrendMeld is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. International Processing

TrendMeld is operated by a United States company. Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, laws, or platform requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date and, when required, provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent.
